  Avoid if you are at all concerned about your money. The doctors seem fine, but the front desk hasn't a clue. I was charged a lot on my first visit, three months ago. I was told I couldn't have a detailed bill, but that would come after the insurance and Medicare amounts were settled, when presumably I would get some back if it was too much. I now find that the amount they charged was even more than they told Medicare, and the agreed Medicare amount is much less. There is no way they didn't know how much Medicare allow for a standard visit, but they still took as much as they wanted from my credit card. Let alone whether my insurance picked up anything. Having waited for them for three months, I can't put a regular query on the credit card, but I will be pursuing them further.

  I nearly bypassed this place on the strength of several negative reviews. But they are 2 miles from home, in network, and I was in a hurry. I'm glad I gave them a chance. The initial phone contact was excellent. I had a human in one button push. She was very helpful and friendly, confirmed my insurance coverage, and had an opening the next morning! I was done in 3 or 4 minutes. I was given the option to download and print the new patient forms to bring with me, or arrive a suggested 30 minutes early. A nice option I have not been offered before. I went early. The office is clean and modern, the location easy to access. While the receptionist may not have been the most effusive smiley face I have ever seen, she was not the least bit unpleasant or unfriendly, as someone else suggested. I was greeted promptly and courteously and given the forms. I was finished on time, but waited about 20 mins past my appointment; pretty standard in todays medical industry, and better than most. I have had a lot of eye issues over the years; several eye injuries, glasses, etc. I had cataract surgery at Bascom Palmer in Miami, considered by many to be the gold standard in eye care. So more experience than many with eye docs. I received one of the more comprehensive and thorough eye exams here that I have ever had. I asked the doc about my unoperated on eye. She said that though it was clouding up a little, it was not at the point where I should consider surgery. So I certainly wouldn't say they were pushing procedures. Once my new prescription had been determined I was moved to the eyeglass sales area, where I expected to finally get abused. But much to my surprise, I was offered a good selection of attractive and good quality frames at excellent value. When I mentioned I was leaving town the next day, the gentleman fitting me looked at his watch and said if we hurry I might have them the next day by noon. And I did. Now, I was seriously impressed! No pressure, no up sell, friendly competent and timely service. Reasonable prices. And the new glasses are great. I spent less than I did at Walmart the last time I got glasses, which broke in less than a year, and the prescription seems right on. I can't say anything about their surgical side. But for routine eye care, exams, and glasses, I recommend this place without reservation.
